Savanna Harvey

print('Hello, world!') Savanna [she/her] is an artist, performer, creative director, storyteller, experience designer, performance scholar…and probably a toaster? She tinkers with world-building and creative technologies to engineer the most ridiculous experiences possible. Her practices study the interrelations between culture, science/technology, and the environmental crisis. Over time, she has developed a signature aesthetic and dramaturgical process called technoclown, combining technology-inspired design and clown-logic storytelling. As an artist, Savanna has toured Canada performing weird little shows about science ghosts and garbage puppets. She leads workshops, is published, and presents on creative technology, digital/hybrid performance (applied), digital/hybrid performativity (theory), digital communities, and art as climate action. She lives and creates in Treaty 6 and 7 Territory in amiskwaciywâskahikan-Edmonton and mohkínstsis-Calgary.
