Team Members
Zoe Roux
Zoe is a set, costume, and lighting designer based in Montreal. She was awarded 'Outstanding Emerging Artist' at the The Montreal English Theatre Awards for her set and lighting design on Invasive Species (Blue Ox productions). She also creates work as a performance and installation artist, her most recent project is a digital site-specific installation with Imago Theatre. Her other recent credits include: costume and lighting design on Madame Catherine prépare sa classe de troisième à l'irrémédiable (Surreal SoReal Theatre), set design on All Flesh is Grass (The Other Theatre), set and lighting design on Winter's Daughter (Tableau D'Hôte Theatre), set and lighting design on Counter Offence (Teesri Duniya Theatre), and set and lighting design on Every Brilliant Thing (Segal Centre and Hudson Village Theatre). As well, she is a past alumni of the The Black Theatre Workshop's 2016- 2017 Artist Mentorship Program.
Cameron Fraser
Cameronis a multidisciplinary artist with an extensive background in performing and visual arts, spanning over two decades. He holds a BFA in Theatre Production and Design from UVIC and is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada, UBCP Actra, a Guinness World Record Holder and has been recognized by both the Canada Council for the Arts and the BC Arts Council. He has produced, workshopped, performed in and designed projections, sets, puppets, props, and/or assisted on a local, national and international level for such companies as Les Sept Doigts, Disney/Universal, V’ni Dansi, Vancouver Opera, PRP Inc, Green Thumb Theatre, Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre, The Confederation Centre for the Arts, Kentucky Opera, Boca Del Lupo, the Vancouver Art Gallery, Theatre Under the Stars, The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, CircusWest, Pi Theatre, The Chop Theatre, Theatre Calgary/Western Canada Theatre, Vertigo Theatre/The Arts Club, Horseshoes & Handgrenades, Talk is Free Theatre, The Underground Circus, TEDXVictoria, as well as for a variety of corporate clients, including Volvo, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), Cruise Line Industry Association, The Investment Planning Counsel, Colours & Shapes, BlendFest and more.
Marissa Blair
Marissa is a performance artist and theatre-maker from Mont Clare, Pennsylvania. She studied acting at West Chester University, earned a bachelor’s degree from The New School, and an MA in Performance Studies from New York University where she began developing documentary drama methods under the mentorship of Anna Deavere Smith. Marissa has performed at various NYC venues: La Mama, The Public, MoMA PS1, HERE Arts Center, Abron's Art Center, Deitch Studios, Dixon Place, PS 122; in festivals Performa, Art In Odd Places, DUMBO Arts Festival, Bushwick Open Studios; and has performed for the past 10 years with Ann Liv Young Dance Company appearing in NYC and international tours of Sherry Show, Electra, Electra Cabaret, and Mermaid Show. Marissa has directed theatre performances including Antonin Artaud’s SPURT OF BLOOD, Endgame, The Dumb Waiter, All My Sons, Sylvia, and has written, produced and performed in original works including The Celebrity Obsession (Montreal Fringe 2020), TRIPTYCH (Festival Bete Noire 2020), 15 DEATHS in 15 MINUTES (Festival Bete Noire 2019). She appeared in Daughters of Mile End (Labyrinth Theatre Co) at D.B.Clarke Theatre in Montreal, was in the 2020-21 cohort of the Jewish Arts Mentorship Program (J.A.M.) at Segal Centre, is Artistic Director and Co-Founder of performance company Mad Paradox, and manages a non-profit studio space Espace Freestanding Room in Montreal. Marissa is currently Assistant Director and Dramaturg of Deer Blood by Other Families going up at Centaur Theatre's WILDSIDE Festival in January 2022.
Zoé Ntumba
Born in a small neighborhood of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo , Zoé arrived in Montréal, Québec at the age of four. Very young, she discovered a real passion for theatre and she later joined the drama club of her high school. She is very interested in human rights issues so she decided to study sociology at the University of Montreal, but her passion for theatre did not completely leave her. Still carrying her love for acting, Zoé auditioned for the National Theater School of Canada and she succeeded. She entered the school in the fall of 2021 where she is currently pursuing her studies.
